I’m Min Yang, a largely self-taught painter based in New Jersey. My practice has grown through independent study, online classes, workshops and time spend in the studio. I work primarily in oils, and I also enjoy sketching with graphite, Towbow markers, and Posca markers.

I am drawn to the quiet beauty of everyday life—the shapes created by light and shadow, the colors of a season, the feeling of a place, and the details that might otherwise go unnoticed. I paint what catches my attention, often returning to familiar subjects and seeing them in new ways.
